tour de la kelantan

haha..what would i be describing? 1 mill metres.what can be 1 mill metres?? thats so long..Hah..dont get me wrong, i am talking about the journey that i "embarked" on recently.well, actually its more of exaggeratinglar, it was only the journey from KL to KB.just one difference of the alphabet but one hell of a difference in real life. anyway, back to my story.my first time to kelantan.heh.that leaves how many states in m'sia that i havent been to? let me see, perlis, kedah, sarawak n sabah.4.hm.. hope to reduce it to 2 by the end of the year.sarawak n sabah, here i come!! lol. anyway, was at kb to attend my dad's nephews wedding which makes him my.. cousin? aiks..dont ask me, i'm bad at this.

12 june

checked into this so called travellers inn which was kinda sucky cuz it stank of cigarette smoke and no towels!! aiks. the good thing was, the room was quite big and they had astro.i think they never really cleaned the rooms cuz i dint see any laundry outside. heh.went to buy some stuff at a supermarket and to my very surprise they actually had separate check out lanes for males n females.double wow but accordin to the sales promoter there, who is chinese, they dont really bother, they just put it there for fun.heh.then..my dad went n paid at the female counter..omg..when i specifically pointed out to him guess he wasnt listenign.the cashier lady gave us a smile and said that it was kwen-chah na-yo, which means ok in korean, except that she said tat in malay.

dinner

dinner was at this chamber hall where the food was surprisingly better than the one at melaka which i went last week.I made another surprising discovery which is that kelantan ppl do like to sing a lot.seriously.there was this dude, still in sec school i think.he was rather effeminate, with a slightly high pitched voice and he sang 3 songs.the funniest part was the person wishin the couple happiness and wisdom etc when i suddenly heard this line " nian nian you jing re" !!!??!?!? wat? u mean they should have a weddin dinner every year?lol.then there were all those old uncles n aunties goin on to sing with even this uncle yodelling.ohmy..first time i see people doin tat on stage.then there was this guy who sang quite a good version of david taos jian dan ai.my cousins went up on stage to sing 2 songs after much temptation from my uncle who offered a prize.bah. i wont be tempted to embarass myself so easily de..let me practice somemore first..redbox anyone? lol

the dinner ended at about 1030 n we headed back to the inn to get some rest.didnt get to stay up late as all the adults were tired and they wanted to sleep.so , no tv for us =(

13 june

woke up at the ungodly hour of 7 plus cuz they wanted to go for breakfast then go look around kelantan.hurriedly packed my stuf and threw it in the bag to be collected later.tats wat i hate abt travellin, having to pack and unpack.how nice if i had someone to keep my stuff for me, being the unorganised and messy person that i am ..*sighs dreamily*oh well we went to this coffeeshop to have breakfast which was nasi dagang and half boiled eggs..em..yummy.the shoplots opposite were used to house yan zi which they would then collect their nests, which are yan wo.haha..they even fenced it up with barbed wire to ensure that no one would go in and steal their nests.then we went de tour de la kelantan.

we went to a couple of temples which were located up north.the temples bore strikin resemblance to the thai temple, prolly cuz the influence there is stronger.i was surprised to see so many temples considerin that it is an islamic state an all.throughout my trip , there was this strong question in my head : were there any dogs in kelantan?if there were any dogs, what would htey do with them? chase them across the border? lol. my questions were answered when i entered one of the temples.there were so many dogs, heh, some even restin on the tiled seats for visitors..so adorable were the puppies that followed their mother like a steady stream of traffic.but there werent any stray dogs around the streets, prolly all shot down or seomthing.sigh.there was a huge lying buddha statue which i took pics of and some interesting pics.heh.there was this wishing pond which i managed to throw a coin inside the duck.hahah..but i dindt make a wish.aiks.i guess it'll bring us all good luck :)

went to duty free area to get some chocs.i think they're cheaper.if they're not, kill my cousin.lol

left kelantan after lunch of chicken rice n ..char siew..lol..they actually had that..surprisingly

after note: all these were done with me, clad in somewat beach attire, not bikinis.lol but shorts, flip flops n a tee.heh..and surrounded by malays wrapped up from head to toe. =)
