well, i guess that its time for me to post a new post.hahaha since some people are already complaining that my blog is starting to fat mou..* dunno who hoh* well.. been really busy mah..with assignments and mock exams..ahha..well, was free last week also lazy to post :p

so i'll just post a short one on a movie tat i've watched recently, which is the myth

its full of used n tried slap stick humour with a specious storyline with huge gaps in between .In layman terms, it is quite sucky.the only plus point would be the actress, kim hee sun, which is quite pretty, the title han guo di yi mei nu bing fei lang de xu ming.(thoughtfully pointed out by potato, who is currently obsessed about her to the extent that he refers to her dreamily as his wife.before that, it was faye from FIR.the scene where he rants incessantly about her is still fresh on my mind..tsk tsk ..changes so fast)

anyway, i find that the storyline has quite a lot of large gaps n some characters are underdeveloped eg.tony leung as his faithful sidekick & mallika, who i have not figured out is her contribution to the story line other than bringing him to her uncle.the scenes with her in it could have been reduced by 80% and it wouldnt have affected the plot anyhow.somehow or other, the director n producer managed to introduce some eye candy for the guys, in the form of the leading lady n the supporting actress.BTW, yes, mallika bares it all in this movie in a scene in teh rat glue factory where her top is torn off.( unnecessarily , in my opinion , just to exploit her sex appeal and get their moneys worth?? -.-'')

one thing that totally bewilders me is the scene in the burning horse carriage with the princess(KHS) .It is completely illogical that she just sits there n does nothing, waiting for the two guys, jackie chan n her fiancee from korea to save her.It just annoys me that she puts on that helpless puppy look and clinging flimsily to the carriage while watching them strive to save her life.well, lady, cant u at least help out by trying to jump out yourself? i cant help but feel annoyed when those movies potray the women as helpless damsels in distress who have nothing better to do or no aims in life than to wait for their knight in shining armour to arrive,to sweep them off their feet , to fall into their arms and does not seem capable of standing on their own.its sickening to see them so vegetable like.eesh

theres also the floating palace thingy where the so called nan gong da jiang , which turns out to be a lousy fighter, losing to tat archeologist fella, who suddenly appears to be a skilled in martial art person.

there is also the trophy wife theory.the leading actor and the actress must have such a huge age gap that even a mouse can fall thru *gag* i find it quite appaling to see the scenes where JC N KHS locked in a tight embrace..
even the super hitech gadgets can only wipe off that amount of signs of age on a persons face.so its...eww..totally gross... n here, to exploit KHS 's sex appeal again.theres a scene where KHS takes off her top to warm the frozen JC -.-''
NOTE: at this scene, potatos eyes nearly fell off.haha..cz frantically oggling at her.

FINAL VERDICT: typical JC movie.recommended for die-hard JC fans only or KHS or ppl who wnat to oggle at Mallika (too bad, she only appears for tat short part of the film:P)
